The Guernsey driver, will be driving the BMW Z4 GTLM with his regular team-mate Bill Auberlen as well as Joey Hand, knows the 10-hour race can throw up all sorts of challenges and opportunities, so is very positive about what is possible and has not written off the chance of a title.
Going into this weekend Priaulx and Auberlen are fourth in the GTLM driver standings with 276 points – the leaders have 300 – and there are 36 points on offer with 35 for a win and one for starting the event.
Meanwhile, BMW is fourth in the manufacturer points, with eight points separating the top-four in those standings.
'As we still have a very narrow chance to win the championship, I am going to go there feeling positive and will simply just concentrate on finishing the season on a high note,' Priaulx said.
'It's a long race and a lot can happen, so I am staying completely open minded.'
