Bowie best in age-group at National Circuit Championships
ANOTHER national title is the icing on the cake of an amazing year for Karina Bowie.

In her final race of the season, the Commonwealth Games cyclist finished fourth overall in the National Closed Circuit Championships held over five laps of the Thruxton Race Circuit in Andover – an event won by British Paralympic heroine Dame Sarah Storey in 26min. 52sec.
Bowie, 43, clocked 28-41 to finish fourth in a strong field, also taking her age-group title.
'It had been an incredibly rewarding and exhausting year with 12 trips off island to race at national level and also at the Commonwealth Games, but has been a very rewarding year and great experience,' Bowie said.
Bowie has had a successful year with her Trainsharp team having won national gold team medals in both the 50-mile and 10-mile time trials, bronze in the Team Time Trial Championships and is also age-group national champion in both the 50 mile TT and closed circuit time trial.
Prior to the Commonwealth Games Bowie also broke the island 25-mile time trial record by 10 seconds.
