Panthers back in the promotion hunt
GUERNSEY PANTHERS returned to winning ways upon their Beau Sejour return yesterday and lifted themselves right back into the promotion mix.
The island side had struggled with two successive defeats to leave them seventh in the table, but here they were excellent against a Wokingham side who have been unpredictable in recent weeks.
After relegation from Division Two last season, they ran league leaders Eagles to within a single goal last time out, but there never looked like being anything similar on their trip across the channel.
Panthers produced an excellent team display and had their shooting been a bit more razor-sharp at times, they would have won by an even bigger margin than the 49-31 it finished at.
