Emery runs off script
DAVE EMERY won the penultimate event in the five-race FNB Winter League series, but the man who had most to celebrate was runner-up Mike Wilesmith.

On the eve of the race his wife Kate gave birth to their first child, a boy named Rowan, so understandably Wilesmith was not at his best.
His performance was, however, good enough to clinch the series title with a race to go.
'Dave didn't read the script,' was the wry comment from Wilesmith afterwards, before he added: 'Great run though.'
