Proud Nic sure tide will turn
NIC POTHAS has announced 32 players over two squads to tackle a hectic 2015 programme.
Meanwhile, the director of cricket insists that despite two inter-insular defeats and an ICC World League relegation campaign in his tenure, that there should be nothing but pride in what has been achieved over the past two years during which a string of established players have either retired from representative cricket or left the island.
'In announcing our two winter/spring training squads for 2015, all associated with Guernsey cricket should be very proud of what has been achieved in two years,' said the former Hampshire and South African international.
'These squads are by no means cast in stone as competition for places is intense and will push all to improve and achieve,' he added.
The squads are separated into an extended National T20 and World Cricket League (50 overs) group, and an A Squad (Lions) selection. The National squad will be reduced to 14 once actual tournament travelling parties need to be advised to ICC.
National T20 and 50 overs squad only:
Jamie Nussbaumer, Ollie Newey, Matt Stokes, Dave Hooper, Ollie Nightingale, Ben Ferbrache, Max Ellis, Tom Kirk, Matt Breban, Tom Nightingale, Lucas Barker, Zak Damarell, Jason Martin, Tom Kimber, Chris van Vliet, Josh Butler, Tim Ravenscroft and Adam Le Page.
