Blaze too hot to handle for Rezzers
Nerine Blaze A 60, Resolution IT Black 33
IT WAS meant to be another closely-fought battle, but ultimately Nerine Blaze A proved they are big favourites to lift the Specsavers Division One title after a devastating display last night.
The winter's inclement weather has meant several postponements and a long wait for their first clash with 'Rezzers' Black, who the table suggests are the youngsters' biggest rivals for the crown.
But by the end of the first quarter at Grammar School it was safe to assume that Blaze would be continuing their unbeaten campaign after opening up a 16-6 lead.
That margin grew as the game progressed – 30-15 at halfway and then 47-23 three-quarters in – to leave the only unanswered question as to whether Rezzers could pick up a bonus point.
In the end they did just that, edging to within half of Blaze's score through a couple of late goals, but the reality of the scoreline was that it was one-way traffic.
