Guernsey captain praises side after convincing win
JAMIE NUSSBAUMER says that Guernsey are playing 'a good brand of cricket' after an emphatic 56-run victory over the MCC yesterday.
The Sarnians outplayed their visitors to Port Soif in the annual Twenty20 match for the Warren Barrett Memorial Trophy.
Afterwards, proud captain Nussbaumer praised his side for not letting up the intensity levels from their recent efforts at the ICC European T20 Championships.
Dave Hooper was the star as his unbeaten 45 with the bat propelled Guernsey to 160, which the MCC never looked like getting and they finished with just 104.
'There was a really good crowd down here today and that is fantastic for us as players, hopefully it is because we are playing a good brand of cricket right now,' said Nussbaumer.
The MCC face Elizabeth College today at the College Field, before they take on Guernsey again in a 50-over clash at the KGV tomorrow.
