The youngster took advantage of a couple of lives, including a big let-off in the nineties, to score a match-winning 106 for Miton Optimal in their six-wicket win over 2mi Wanderers.

Guilbert, who struck 13 boundaries, shared in a second-wicket stand of 134 with fellow youngster Jason Martin, who struck 56 as Miton chased down 197 at Port Soif.

Meanwhile, at KGV, NGIT Cobo eased to a seven-wicket win over Odey Rovers.

Rovers faced an uphill struggle from early on, but the key moment was when skipper Lee Savident arrived at the crease at 18 for two and was dismissed first ball by his new Burridge CC team-mate, Jamie Nussbaumer.
