Cobo claim 10th GCA championship
COBO could be celebrating a league double tomorrow evening after they wrapped up the Swoffers Weekend Premier title on Saturday.
Their quick-fire five-wicket win over MitonOptimal, which took just a couple of minutes longer than two hours after they bowled their opponents out for a mere 76, ensured that they lifted the GCA Championship for the 10th time. They can add the Krys Global Evening League crown this week.
Should they avoid defeat in tomorrow's meeting with Griffins at the KGV, they will clinch that title.
'Hopefully we will put the Evening League to bed on Tuesday and then we have a couple of cup competitions – hopefully an Upton as well, if it can be fitted in – to go for,' said Cobo captain Jamie Nussbaumer.
