Double podium success for Priaulx
ANDY PRIAULX had plenty of reasons to celebrate at the sixth meeting of the 2015 British Touring Car Championship at Snetterton over the weekend.
The three-time world touring car champion turned 42 on Saturday and treated himself to a memorable belated birthday present – two podium finishes in his IHG Rewards Club BMW.
After finishing fifth in yesterday's opening race, in the second race he claimed third position as well as the fastest lap by far with a time of 1min. 58.066sec.
At the end of the day, he was the third to see the chequered flag once again in race three.
'It's been a brilliant weekend – to score two podiums at a track that we know isn't one of our best is really positive,' said Priaulx.
'Let's keep this momentum going now and start focusing on that championship.'
The next meeting of the 2015 BTCC series at Knockhill is on 22-23 August.
