Panthers' best performance yet
NENA COPPERWAITE hailed Saffery Guernsey Panthers 'best performance ever' as they secured a nail-biting 37-36 victory at in-form MSN on Sunday.
After back-to-back losses to begin their Division Three South campaign, the Sarnians faced a tough test at the Sussex-based club, who had romped to successive victories of their own.
But despite squandering what was at one point a nine-goal lead, Panthers withstood a fierce MSN fightback to get their first win of the season on the board.
Furthermore, captain Copperwaite believes it was the pinnacle of her side's two-and-a-bit seasons in the UK leagues thus far.
'MSN were a really great side and for us to beat one of the best sides in this league has given us renewed confidence that we can compete at the top end of this league,' she said.
