Loveridge, 21, along with CI number one Garry Dodd, heads a strong domestic entry for the second edition of the Ravenscroft CI World Ping Pong Championships qualifier, which will be played at the GTTA Centre on Saturday 21 November.

Jersey will also be represented by two of their top players – Chris Morshead and Jack Mills – but Eugene Ellis has opted not to defend his crown which took him to London all-expenses paid at at the start of 2015.

Event organiser Derek Webb said that all 32 places are now confirmed.

'We will make the draw at the centre on Monday week, five days before the event. I'm really pleased with the quality of the entry and it is great to have Alice on board,' he said.

All 32 players will use identical hard-bats with no rubber covering and as a result the game is less dependent on spin.
