The CI reach Division Four for first time
FOUR of Guernsey's best players joined forces with their Jersey counterparts to secure a historic Aegon Winter County Cup promotion for the Channel Islands last weekend.
After climbing into Division Five a year ago, the CI team were looking for back-to-back promotions and reach Division Four for the first time.
And over a memorable three days in Newport they managed it, winning all three of their ties against Bedfordshire, Gloucestershire and Northamptonshire.
Rob West, Patrick Ogier and Dom McLuskey were the three Guernsey-based players, while Sarnian Jonny Taylor also travelled down from university to unite with four Caesareans who also travelled – Michael Watkins, Jeremy Cross, Scott Weaver and Max Vasiliou.
