FRUSTRATED golf officials have accused the Vale Commons Council of promoting 'myths and half-truths' in the ongoing issue of the sport's long-term future at L'Ancresse.

Patrick McKeary, who as part of the golf working party has been trying to reach an agreement for nine years, said news of the VCC rejecting the latest offer was 'very frustrating'.

After going through the VCC's latest proposals he said: 'This appears to be the usual gathering of myths and half-truths.'

Meanwhile, GIAAC president Alun Williams is another distinctly unimpressed by the VCC threat to charge every sports competitor £2 each time they use the common.
