'It was good to get a goal in the end and it was in the nick of time because it was very late,' said Guernsey player-coach Andy Whalley.
Earlier the Guernsey women's first team retained their trophy for a fourth consecutive year after a 0-0 draw with their hosts.
'We did well in the first half creating a few chances and then we did really well to survive the second half as Jersey created some good chances and we were certainly hanging on for the last 20 minutes,' said Guernsey coach David Wray.
