Guernsey name 14-man squad for World Cricket League Division Five promotion bid

GH SMIT returns to the Guernsey squad that will look for back-to-back World Cricket League promotions in their Division Five campaign in Jersey next month.

Also returning is wicket-keeper Tom Kimber, who was dropped for the Division Six promotion campaign by Nic Pothas, but is immediately recalled by new Guernsey head of cricket Ashley Wright.

The unavailability due to exams of teenagers Will Fazakerley and Tom Nightingale, as well as Tim Ravenscroft's absence, means space for some new faces in the squad.

Although the final list of 14 names does not have to be submitted to the International Cricket Council until next week, Wright has decided to publish those names early.
