Simpson triumphs in IG Open de Paris

CHRIS SIMPSON has ended his season on a high by winning the Open de Paris.

The Guernsey professional lived up to his billing as top seed in the $25k PSA Tour event held at the Societe Sportive Du Jeu De Paume Et De Racquets and beat his England teammate Declan James 11-8, 11-8, 11-4 in a 50-minute final on Saturday evening.

Simpson had reached the final following wins over Joe Lee, Lucas Serme and Paul Coll.

It was his second PSA title of the season following his victory at the St George's Hill Classic in October.
