Guernsey make it two wins from two in WCL5
GUERNSEY eased to an eight-wicket win over Tanzania on Sunday to make it a perfect weekend in ICC World Cricket League Division Five in Jersey.
The Sarnians now sit top of the group with two wins from two having opened their account against Vanuatu on Saturday.
The following day at Farmers Field, both Ollie Newey and Max Ellis took three wickets as Tanzania were bowled out for 108 in the final over of their allotted 42 in a reduced match after a delayed start.
Matt Stokes then finished unbeaten on 44 as Guernsey knocked off the required runs in 26.1 overs.
Elsewhere, Jersey comfortably beat Vanuatu while Oman defeated Nigeria.
Guernsey have a rest day on Monday when Jersey will face Oman in a rearranged match that was washed out on day one.
