Captain Jemma Crouse, Lauren Finch and Sarah Woodington also scored tries and Crouse landed six conversions.

Not surprisingly, coach Chris Griffiths was satisfied with the season opener.

'I was exceptionally pleased with the pace, power and energy levels that we showed throughout the entire game – our levels never really dropped off.

'The systems we had in place last season all worked well and the new ones we are trying to implement this season are also starting to bear early fruit.'

Guernsey Ladies play their first home game of the season at Footes Lane on Saturday against league newcomers Barnes. Kick off is at 12noon.
