Another year and another Dyer and West show

ROB WEST and Jo Dyer both lived up to their billing as favourites to make it five island singles titles apiece on finals afternoon at the Guernsey Tennis Centre yesterday.

The duo have both been virtually untouchable in the men's and women's singles respectively in recent years and again showed why they were No. 1 seeds.

Although made to work hard on neighbouring courts, Nico Robinson and Lauren Barker were beaten in straight sets of a pair of entertaining contests.

For Dyer it is five in a row since her maiden title arrived in 2012, while West started his current sequence of four in succession a year later, adding to his first triumph in 2011.
