Saffery Guernsey Panthers 43, MSN 26
THEY have a new look about them this season and Guernsey Panthers showed they mean business with a comprehensive opening day Division Three South success.
With a new coaching team on the sidelines and two debutantes in the starting seven, most would have forgiven the Sarnians if they needed some time to gel.
But they were full value for their big 17-goal victory that would have been even bigger had their shooting been a little bit slicker, but they will still be mightily pleased with this display.
The cramped surroundings of Les Beaucamps High have not always been kind to Panthers, who have had indifferent results in their second home away from Beau Sejour.
Yesterday, though, they were on top from the first whistle and after moving 2-1 ahead early on, they were in front all the way through to the final hooter an hour later.
