Alderney run champions North close
THEY had the best two players on the park in the shape of the Concanen brothers, but Alderney's lack of firepower cost them as they pushed the champions all the way in the noon kick-off at Northfield.
Alderney again showed their value to the FNB Priaulx League, but for all their sweat and purpose, once falling two behind they were out of it.
Simon Marley had given North the lead before Ross Benfield equalised from the penalty spot, but strikes from Luke Molley and Paul Ramsden gave the hosts the points.
Elsewhere, Callum Wallace's late equaliser gave Bels a 1-1 draw and their first point of the season at St Andrew's against Rangers, while there were 3-0 wins for Vale Rec over Sylvans and St Martin's at Rovers.
