When the Green Lions fell 3-0 down at Walton Casuals inside of 34 minutes, it seemed that another away day hammering was on the cards for Tony Vance's men.

The Green Lions showed character as Liam Mahon and Angus Mackay both netted before half-time to bring them right back into it by the break, but eventually, they suffered a 4-2 defeat on a night when 16-year-old Charlton Gauvain came off the bench to become GFC's youngest ever player.

It means that GFC drop to 18th place in the table – but remain seven points above the relegation zone – and their wait for an away win ticks ever closer to a year.
