The Elizabeth College midfielder joins his school captain Will Thompson in Andy Whalley's squad to face Jersey at Footes Lane where the home side will be looking to retain the silverware for the fifth year in a row.

'Jack has really impressed at training and he has played very well for Indies and College in the league,' said player-coach Whalley.

'He has got a good bit of flair, he moves the ball very quickly and he is a natural left-sided player, which gives the squad good balance, and we like to give juniors opportunities.'

It has been a memorable few days for both Smart and Thompson after they scored the goals that saw Elizabeth with their inter-collegiate match with old foes Victoria 2-0 last Saturday.
