Strongest squad have big chance
AMY FALLAIZE will return to Guernsey colours to take on Jersey this weekend – one of just three likely survivors from last year's inter-insular defeat.
The university-based 19-year-old has spent this season involved with Team Bath's NPL development team and is being brought across for Saturday's clash.
With neither of Jersey's shooters – Lyndsey Pitman or Sophie Holmes – from their 84-18 success a year ago starting, the chances of a first Guernsey win in 12 years are increasing.
The rules state any player named in the B squad is not allowed to start the A match, meaning that Guernsey's team appears to have been chosen, as five of the dozen double up across the A and B squads.
However, joint-coach James Robert – who is in charge along with Verona Tomlin and Tracie Hards – says that is not the case and the team is still undecided.
Guernsey team: Zola Saunders, Lyndsey Bougourd, Amy Fallaize, Nena Copperwaite, Steph Batiste, Donna Brehaut, Kerri Brown, Alice Gallienne, Gemma Batiste, Laura Bygraves, Abbie Greening, Kyra Butcher.
