Guernsey Raiders head coach Jordan Reynolds has played down a shoulder injury to scrum half Malcolm Barnes with the Siam Cup looming fast.

Barnes was subbed off at half-time of the 27-17 loss at Guildford, young Ben Holland having to be thrown in at the deep end on a day when Raiders travelled without 10 players.

'He will definitely be available for the Siam, but we may leave him out of the Colchester game as a precaution.

'Everybody else came through OK. It was a hard pitch and a physical game, so there will be some bumps and bruises among the lads, but nothing more than that.'
