North back in pole position after goalless draw

Sport | Published:

NORTH are within seven points of a third successive FNB Priaulx League title after battling out a 0-0 draw with St Martin's last night.

In a superb match at Northfield, a point apiece keeps the two sides level on points at the top – a point clear of third-placed Rovers.

However, with North having three games left to their rivals' two, they know two wins and a draw will do.

'We are a bit disappointed not to have won because the final seven or eight minutes aside, we were much the better team and full value for a win,' said North coach William Woodford.

'But it is still a better point for us than them.'
