Having been put into bat, the Greens made 231 for 9 from their 50 overs, Ollie Newey top scoring with 80 – his third half-century in as many games in Benoni.

But an opening stand of 112 between Inam-ul-Haq and Qalandar Khan set the platform for Qatar's successful run chase and although Guernsey started picking up wickets to haul themselves back into contention, they lost with 13 balls to spare.

Qatar will now face unbeaten Jersey in the WCL5 semi-finals while Guernsey will play-off for the minor placings before facing a regional qualifier to reach this level again.
