Big guns back for Raiders as they look for four wins in a row
UNBEATEN Raiders welcome back some big names tomorrow for the clash with old rivals Hertford.
Early London & South-East Premier pacesetters Guernsey are aiming to make it four wins from four games and have made several changes from the side who edged a 36-34 thriller at Tunbridge Wells last weekend.
Having been rested for that game, captain Lewis Hillier returns to lead the side while Robin Le Cocq takes the place of unavailable Dale Martin at openside flanker and Charlie Currie has been named in the front row, with Layton Batiste currently suffering from a dead leg.
In the backline, Blair Campbell, Luke Jones and Luke Sayer all come into the starting XV.
‘Having Lewis come back in is obviously a big plus for us even though, to be fair, without him our line-out last week functioned superbly,’ said coach Jordan Reynolds.
‘Robin has been training for the last two or three weeks [after picking up an injury against Doncaster Knights] and, with Dale being away, he is looking forward to getting back in the side. There is a little bit of difference in their style at seven, with Dale having good speed and being a great tackler while Robin is a bit stronger over the ball.'
