By then classy Lewes, who reclaimed top spot from Sittingbourne with their eighth win in 11 unbeaten Bostik South matches, had their three goals.

The Green Lions, who had moved out of the bottom three with those two wins in a week, can have no complaints. The fact was that Lewes were simply too good with a quality striker in Billy Medlock grabbing two goals inside 25min. and the young Dutchman Bouwa Bosma hitting a fine third just before half-time.

GFC boss Tony Vance admitted that the light-blues had been too hot to handle.

‘They are a good side and we made them look even better,' he said.
