His daughter Izzy played for the club for a season in the year after leaving Oxford University and so he has a degree of insider knowledge on the Battersea-based outfit.

‘It is a very social club and she really enjoyed it there,’ Wray said.

‘But they will be a pretty good side because I know Izzy certainly did not breeze into their team.

‘They are top of South Premier Two having played two games so far and won them both, so they are quite a competitive outfit.

‘We are pleased that we’re at home and for the game to be on a Saturday is great, too.’

Push back in tomorrow’s game is at 4.30pm at Footes Lane.
