Guernsey are back on top of the pile following Saturday’s impressive 38-17 win at Sidcup and coach Jordan Reynolds wants to stay there, but he quickly added that the toughest tests are still to come.

‘For us it’s about consistency now – that’s not consistency in selection, that’s consistency in performance – that’s what it’s going to take to stay at the top,’ said the Australian coach, whose side have won six of their seven games so far this season.

‘We dropped off at Dorking [where they lost 24-20] and have used that as motivation in the games since then.

‘But we still have some really tough games to come.

‘Westcliff had a really good win over Barnes at the weekend and we have them at home this week. Then I think November is going to be our toughest period with three really tough games.’
