Coming off the back of only their second defeat of the London & South-East Premier season a week earlier, Raiders responded with a comprehensive 52-0 win over Shelford at Footes Lane.

As well as Horrocks' three tries, Dale Martin touched down twice and there were also scores for Robin Le Cocq, Cameron Craine and Chris Ahne. Sam Whitehead added six conversions.

‘Out of that game, the enthusiasm we wanted, we can tick that box, and the organisation we want, we can tick that box,' said Guernsey coach Jordan Reynolds.

Raiders now have a weekend off before they travel to high-flying Barnes.

‘It will be a tough task against Barnes but we were just so poor the week before that we needed that today and now we’ve got to try and make sure we can do it on the away journey,’ Reynolds said.

‘That’s crucial for us and we’ll be having a lot of conversations about it between now and then.’
