Reynolds: ‘It’s not our biggest game’

RAIDERS will call on their growing audience to be their 16th man as they head into their crunch clash with Tring at Footes Lane tomorrow, a match that could see them return to the top of the London & South East Premier table.

Head coach Jordan Reynolds has delayed naming his 18-man squad, but only because he has an embarrassment of riches at his disposal – particularly in the backs – and needs to ensure that he has all his bases covered with regard to the meagre three-man replacement ceiling.

Blair Campbell had been a doubt with illness earlier in the week but the former captain and centre is now recovered and was due to train on the KGV 3G last night.

Sam Whitehead is also healthy again after missing the Westcombe Park win.

‘We want to give them all through to Friday to make sure they are 100%, but at this stage I’ve got too many backs to pick from and we have also got to get the right combinations,’ Reynolds said yesterday.

In terms of playing level and league position, it is arguable whether there has ever been a more important home game for the Raiders, but Reynolds sees it simply as one of many ‘big games’ and the league won’t be won and lost tomorrow.

‘It’s a big fixture, being home and that, for sure.'
