Simpson wants to fulfil his British champion dream
CHRIS SIMPSON believes his dream of becoming national champion can still become a reality.

The 30-year-old Guernsey squash professional underwent hip surgery in January and has been back on the PSA Tour since September.
He has had to play as many tournaments as possible in order to prevent his ranking slipping too far, but looking ahead, the Old Elizabethan believes his best years are still ahead of him.
‘I still believe I can improve,’ Simpson said.
‘Looking at the two or three years going up to my injury, I got up to a career high of 20 and when I got injured I had achieved that ranking for the second time and I felt I was playing the best squash of my career.
‘I do not see why I cannot get better again.
‘Looking at the domestic tournaments, there are a crop of players like Nick Matthew and James Willstrop, in particular, who are the stars – legends of the game really – but Nick is retiring at the end of the season and James is probably going to start slowing down soon, so I will start targeting the national championships.
‘It has always been a big goal of mine to be British champion one day and I would like to achieve it sometime in the next couple of years.’
