The Guernsey player is part of a quartet that also includes Johanna Konta, Anna Smith and debutant Katie Boulter and will again be captained by Anne Keothavong.

The Tallink Tennis Centre will once again play host to the Europe/Africa Zone Group I competition and will welcome 14 teams. With countries such as Latvia and Poland in contention, the Brits could find themselves up against reigning French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko and former world No.1 Agnieszka Radwanska.

The draw will be announced on Monday 15 January, with the action set to commence on Wednesday 7 February through to Friday 9 when two pools of three nations and two pools of four nations will battle against one another.

Then on Saturday 10, the winner of Pool A will play the winner of Pool D and the winner of Pool B will play the winner of Pool C. The winners of these matches will then advance to the World Group II play-offs on 22-23 April.

Last year, Great Britain booked their place in April’s play-offs following triumph over Portugal, Latvia and Turkey, and will be hoping to replicate their performance in a bid to secure a spot in the Fed Cup World Group level for the first time since 1993.

'We are as determined as ever to begin our 2018 GB Fed Cup Campaign. I am delighted to nominate our strongest possible team,' Keothavong said.

'The format as usual is brutal but Talinn was very good to us last year where who can forget the drama of Jo and Heather winning the deciding doubles from 3-all in the third?

'We have a nice mixture of experience in Jo, Heather and Anna, plus youth with Katie Boulter making her Fed Cup debut. We can’t wait to get started.'
