Le Tissier captains England U16s against Denmark
GUERNSEY’S Maya Le Tissier captained England yesterday in their opening match of the Uefa Women’s U16 Development Tournament in York.

In driving rain on a bitterly cold day, the home side were beaten 5-2 by a strong Denmark side.
The Danes were 4-0 up at half-time before England had the better of the second half and managed to score a couple of consolation goals while the visitors added one more to their tally.
England play Spain tomorrow and conclude their campaign against Scotland on Sunday.
