Rovers await what thaw reveals
ROVERS coach Jez Robin says it was ‘absolute rubbish’ to consider his side had all but wrapped up a second FNB Priaulx League title when they opened up a good lead. That advantage has since been wiped out.
Ahead of tomorrow’s scheduled big game against second-placed St Martin’s at a currently snowed under Port Soif, Robin remarked: ‘I said all along everybody was getting a bit carried away. We still had four games to play against the pother probable top-three teams, Saints and North.’
Rovers, whose loss against Rangers and draw with Manzur, has given Saints real hope of overhauling the champions, have a strong squad available tomorrow, if the game goes ahead. Speaking late yesterday morning, Robin said: ‘It’s pretty white at the moment, but it is going to thaw out and then it’s question of how wet it will be.’
His biggest question mark player wise was whether Ryan-Zico Black would be available or on GFC duty.
North v. Alderney and Sylvans v. Manzur are tomorrow's two other FNB Priaulx League games.
