Marsh is sure to play with the squad including two keepers and Island U18 squad members Zac Felbabel and Callum Le Lacheur, the latter just 16.

Tony Vance is without virtually an entire starting XI with 10 players out through injury, work or, in Kel Akpobire’s case, a loan agreement ending.

In contrast, sixth-placed Walton Casuals have signed a Cypriot international striker from fellow promotion chasers Greenwich Borough.

Vance says he will most likely make his own signing in the next fortnight.

‘Kel’s looking to play one or two steps up the pyramid and I wouldn’t discount getting another striker in from Bristol City,’ he said.

Meanwhile, he is delighted to finally be able to field River Marsh, brother of the injured Keanu.

The North player will definitely start in a defence shorn of both Tobin brothers and Jacob Fallaize.

‘I’d prefer to use him in a defensive central midfield role, which I consider his best position.

‘He had been training with us for quite as while on and off and, more recently, on. This is an opportunity to perhaps experience a different level of football than he has before.’

The Green Lions have nicked draws in four of their last five games, but Vance is well aware that tonight’s game, rearranged from the weekend, will be a big test and grabbing another point will be a massive achievement.

Cal Stanton; Simon Geall, Jamie Dodd, Alex Le Prevost, River Marsh, Charlton Gauvain, Craig Young, Ryan-Zico Black, Matt Loaring, Paris Pereira, Seb Skillen.
