‘Save our Muratti’ says Kev

Graham, who led the green-and-whites to back-to-back triumphs in 2012 and 2013 before leaving the island, has been highly critical of how the match has lost its gloss, particularly in the sister isle.

A Muratti centre-back himself, Graham tweeted:

‘Result aside, really disappointed to hear about the attendance and general apathy towards the game on Saturday.

‘The Muratti is a special day but the state of football in Jersey, lack of joined-up logistics and the awful facilities for fans at Springfield are not helping.

‘It’s unacceptable to me that the occasion just gradually gets consigned to history.

‘If @JerseyFA can’t get their act together and make the experience an exciting and fan-friendly day, everyone in Guernsey certainly can. Please make the Muratti special again in 2019.’
