Sam Murray hit a hat-trick for the chocolate-and-blues against his former club at Northfield on Friday evening after Scott Bougourd had opened the scoring. Ross Hanley netted Sylvans' consolation.
The following day, St Martin's began their campaign with a 4-0 win over Rangers at the KGV while Manzur and Vale Rec fought out an exciting 3-3 draw at Northfield, with Manzur coming from behind three times to earn a point.
