Having beaten their neighbours L’Ancresse Martellos twice during the robin-robin stage, Tom Le Huray’s men made it three wins out of three ‘northern derbies’ with a 15-11 success.

Both sides won one foursomes and one singles match apiece, but the Royals had the edge thanks to five nearest-the-pin bonuses in comparison to the opposition’s three while there was a winning bonus for the pairing of Jack Mitchell and Daniel Griggs for defeating Sam Le Huray and Tom Pattimore inside 15 holes as well as a losing bonus for Sean Mills as he took Channel Islands champion Danny Blondel to the 18th before being edged out 1 up.

Le Huray added his side’s other victory as he defeated his new island teammate Tim Carter 3 & 2.

Danny Bisson and Arthur Evans combined to beat Emile Thompson and Nigel Vaudin 3 & 1 for the Martellos’ other victory.
