Guernsey start with 10-wicket win over Gibraltar

GUERNSEY are off to a flying start in the ICC World T20 Europe Qualifier.

The Sarnians beat Gibraltar by 10 wickets in their opening match in the Netherlands this morning, bowling out their opponents for 70 before knocking off the runs in 10.5 overs.

There were three wickets apiece for Ant Stokes and Will Peatfield while man-of-the-match Lucas Barker finished unbeaten on 52 in an unbroken first-wicket stand of 76 alongside captain Josh Butler (20 not out).

Guernsey are in action again on Thursday against Israel.
