Guernsey defeat Israel to make it two from two

GUERNSEY have maintained their perfect start to the ICC World T20 Europe Qualifier in the Netherlands after beating Israel by seven wickets.

Young left-arm spinner Ant Stokes shone with the ball as Guernsey, who won the toss, restricted their opponents to 79 for 8 from their 20 overs. He took three wickets to claim the man-of-the-match award while paceman Will Peatfield also picked up three wickets.

Guernsey reached their target for the loss of three wickets in 15.1 overs. Top-scorer Luke Le Tissier finished not out on 33 while Matt Stokes contributed 31.

The Sarnians are next in action on Saturday with a double-header against Sweden and Norway.
