Saints return to the summit

ST MARTIN’S are back on top of the FNB Priaulx League, putting the misery of their home defeat to Manzur behind them to beat UCF Sylvans 2-0 at St Peter’s.

Skipper Chris Le Noury gave them a dream start, powering home a header from a Steve Renouf delivery after just a minute. It stayed that way until early in the second half when Renouf was through one-on-one with the goalkeeper and finished well to double the lead.

North, meanwhile, thrashed a desperately weakened Bels 12-1 at the Track, Sam Murray scoring five times as the chocolate-and-blues enjoyed a romp in the sun.

At Port Soif, Rovers picked up all three points with a 3-1 victory over Vale Rec, based largely on a dominant first-half display.

Fin Whitmore scored twice for the hosts with their other goal coming from Louis Falla before Glenn Le Tissier netted a consolation for Rec.

At Mount Hale another Dante Walker goal was enough to earn Alderney a 1-0 win over Rangers and with it lift the Baker Cup.
