Toothless Lions stung

THREE second half strikes, two from George Landais, sent the Green Lions tumbling to a third straight Bostik South East loss at East Grinstead Town last night.

‘The Wasps’ second half sting enabled the hosts to join Guernsey FC on the six point mark in the lower half of the table.

Tony Vance’s side were bright going forward in the opening period but tended to run out of ideas in the final third where, once again, Paris Pereira partnered Will Fazakerley up front.

Pereira had the best chance of the half, but made poor contact with the shot, and the visitors fell behind on 54min. as Landais registered with a deflected effort.

Shortly after he scored his second and although GFC huffed and puffed they could not find a way back and conceded a late third.

The Green Lions are back at home this Saturday when they host Phoenix Sports.
