Saturday night show ‘an embarrassment’

AS FAR as Raiders are concerned, their case of Saturday night fever left them off-colour at Footes Lane.

In contrast, Birmingham & Solihull Bees were left dancing in the moonlight, coming from behind to earn a deserved victory against their hosts who took a big step backwards in their inaugural National Two South campaign.

Coach Jordan Reynolds did not pull any punches after watching his side slip to a 28-19 home defeat to the side second from bottom of the table.

‘We were an embarrassment to the jersey today,’ he said.

‘It’s just the simple things that we couldn’t do. We must have lost 60% of our line-outs in crucial spots, we constantly got the ball kicked over our heads, got down in our 22, we couldn’t exit – how many times did it spray off the boot?

‘Honestly, it was easily up there with one of the worst performances I have seen in a Guernsey shirt.

‘The amount of mistakes…[shake of the head]'
