They clinched the title with a match to go by thumping Rozel Rovers Ladies at Les Quennevais Sports Centre.

Ormer’s pressure was quick to pay off as good work on the right by Hilda Marrero resulted in a pass to Lynsey Strange who finished the move.

Just three minutes later a long ball over the top from left back Diana Marsden fell to Eleanor Holden, who advanced on goal to score the second.

It was soon three. A direct free kick from outside the box on the right was taken by Candice Bougourd and her long-range shot flew over the keeper into the net.

A few minutes later Bougourd had another shot which hit the bar, followed by a fourth goal and a second to Holden, who swivelled and shot high into the net.

It was 4-0 at the break and it took the Guernsey side 16 minutes in the second half to make it five.

Usual centre back and captain Vicki Rang had been pushed up front on the right and her cross-cum-shot eluded all the strikers and ended up in the net.

On 76 minutes another goal for Holden from a through pass made it six and a third hat-trick for Holden in four games.

Ormer were not finished. Five minutes later a Bougourd cross from the left found new signing Marta Pestana, who headed home confidently.

Rozel pulled one back before, on 90 minutes, the Rozel keeper Tayah Vasse, who is only 16 but made a series of good saves, was injured and another player took her place in goal. Within a minute a run and cross from Bougourd fell to Rang, who had plenty of time to finish.

Ormer’s next game comes in the Women’s KO cup against St Lawrence.
