Saints move six points clear after North do them a favour

North had done them one huge favour and a few hours later, following a 4-0 victory over Bels, they were sitting on a six-point lead at the top.

At the final whistle looking at Alderney you sensed they knew their title bid was over, not mathematically but certainly realistically.

Goals from Chris Le Cheminant, River Marsh and Sam Murray had just given North a 3-0 win over the Ridunians.

Later that afternoon, Ollie Smith and Brent Marquand both scored two goals apiece in St Martin’s 4-0 win over Bels at BPL.
