Six Bailiwick clubs are represented for the match against the Hampshire Premier League being played at Stockbridge FC, with four from St Martin’s and four Northerners in the group while Rovers and Sylvans provide three each.

Manzur have two selected while Steve Concanen adds a Ridunian flavour to the mix, although his brother Josh is unavailable.

‘There is a good mixture of clubs, which shows how competitive the Priaulx is, and there’s a few lads who can probably count themselves unlucky, but I reckon you could probably name 30 players who could put themselves in contention for this side – Charlie has got a good selection to pick from,’ said the Alderney defender, with manager Pinsard unavailable for comment yesterday.

‘If you want to improve, you’ve got to be playing a better standard of football and, if you are not involved with GFC, this is what you are aiming for.

‘It will be a learning experience for some of the lads and we just have to adapt to whatever [Hampshire] have got, but we hope it goes well – we want to win it, that’s the aim,’ Concanen added.
